عندما تقطع الجذور
ذهب كما جاء فجأة. لم يكن من أسرة الشركة وأحد أفرادها القدماء، إنما التحق حديثاً بالعمل ليتسنم أحد المناصب، بناء على خبرته التي اكتسبها من عمله مع رب عمله السابق. وكما قال أحد العاملين تحت إدارته ومن الذين لم يعجبهم استلامه لمنصبه بتلك السرعة الغريبة: أليس هو نفس الشخص الذي علمنه ودربناه على أعمالنا، مع أنه جاءنا لا يعلم مما يجري شيء؟! ما باله تغيرت أخلاقه وأصبح يأمر وينهي، كأنما نسي تلك الأيام التي قضاها معنا؟!
When the Roots are cut
He has gone suddenly the way he came in. Was not part of the old company family, but has joined the work lately to assume one of the offices, based on his gained experience from his former employer. As per the statement of one of the staff under his administration, who was not happy with the fast strange way of his appointment: Is not he the same person, whom we have trained and taught to do our work, although he has come to us not knowing what is going on?! How come his morals have changed and now he is ordering and foreboding, as if he has forgotten those days he has spent with us?!
وتمضي الأيام ويزداد عوده قوة، ويزداد فرعه طولا. ومع ازدياد خبرته تزداد قوته في موقعه، ويصبح من أصحاب النفوذ والصيت عند رؤسائه. ومع هذه الثقة المتنامية يزداد نفوره من أوامر من هو أعلى منه منصباً، وإصراره على معرفة أسباب اتخاذ كل قرار. مما جعل رئيسه يأخذ كافة التدابير لقمعه، وإيقافه عند حده. لكن ذلك لم يكن ليردعه، ويمنعه من التطلع والتوجه بنظره إلى المناصب العليا. وأول ما رفع رأسه تطلع إلى كرسي رئسيه المباشر، وإلى كيفية إزاحته عنه؟!
By movement of the days his trunk strength has increased, and his branch has extended in length. With the increase of his experience, his power has grown up in his position, and become one of the influential persons around his superiors. With this growing confidence, his repulsion toward orders of those higher than him became more, and so his insistent of knowing the reasons behind every decision taken. Made his superior takes all measures to suppress him, and stops him at his limit. But that did not stop, or prevent him from looking up word to the senior positions. The first thing he has aimed to, with lifting his head up was his direct manager's chair, and how to take him of it!?
خدمه القدر دون أي متاعب، فلقد قدم رئيسه استقالته معتذراً بمشاغل ومصاعب عائلية وشخصية. فصار هو المرشح الأوحد لذلك المنصب، ومن مدير لقسم يتيم فريد إلى رئيس لعدة أقسام. فأصبح شجرة ذات جذور ضاربة إلى أعماق الأرض ثابتة لا تتزحزح، وفروع وأغصان تعانق السماء طولا وارتفاعاً. فهو الآن قاب قوسين أو أدنى من صاحب الأمر والنهي، رئيس مجلس الإدارة. صاحب الملك الذي تؤول إليه جميع الفوائد، وتخرج منه جميع الهبات والعطايا.
He was served by fate without any trouble; his superior has submitted his resignation apologizing by personal and family concerns and difficulties. He has become the sole candidate for that office, and from a director of an orphan lonely section to the general manager of several divisions. Became like a tree with deep roots going down the depth of the earth, fixed and unshakable, branches and twigs embracing the skies in length and height. He is now just at two bows distance or less from the full power man, the chairman of the board of directors. The owner, to whom all the benefits go, and all the donations and gifts come from.
ولكن بقي أمامه أحد الرؤساء، من ؤلئك الذين ينافسونه على الوصول إلى قلب صاحب العمل. وكما قال ذلك الرئيس المعني بالمقام و المتأثر بما يحاك حوله من مؤامرات لتنحيته، أو نقله إلى بقعة نائية بعيدة عن موقع الحدث واتخاذ القرار: إن صاحبنا هذا كما العروس الجديدة التي تنتقل إلى بيت أهل زوجها، لا تعلم بسياسة ونظام ذلك البيت شيئا. فتحاول جاهدة في أن تقوم بأعمال البيت لإرضائهم وكسب ثقتهم، رغم إنهم لا يقومون بنصف ما تقوم به. وبعد عدة أسابيع من ذلك العمل الدؤوب، تكون قد تعرفت على من حولها وطريقة عيشهم. عندها تبدأ بالرجوع إلى طبيعتها، بل تتقمص طبيعتهم وتعيش كما يعيشون. فتترك الخدمة التي كانت تقوم بها، وتركن إلى الدعة والهدوء.
But still one of the executives has remained in front of him, from those who were competing with him to reach the employer's heart. So she leaves the service she was conducting, and resorts to tenderness and calm.
ويتنافسان على مواقعهما، محاولا كل منهم إقصاء الأخر. دون هوادة ودون رحمة، ولكن كما يقال من تحت الطاولة. لا يراه إلا الخبير المتمرس العارف بأسرار الضمائر والنوايا، الذي يقرأ ويحلل ما يجري، من العيون وصفحات الوجوه قبل الشفاه وحركتها. أعمال أقل ما يقال عنها أنها جمر نائم بدون حركة يغطيه الرماد، وما إن تطأه الأرجل حتى يرديها صريعةً. وفي النهاية يفوز صاحبنا بالمقام الذي يسعى إليه، ويقصى الآخر إلى المكان الذي يخشى قذفه فيه.
They were competing on their positions, each on were trying to exclude the other. Relentless and without mercy, but as said under the table. Only seen by the knowledgeable and expert in the secrets of the conscience and intentions, reading and analyzing what is going on, from the eyes and the pages of the faces before the lips and their movements. Acts the least could be said about them, a hot sleeping charcoal covered with ashes, and once feet step on kill them. At the end our friend has won the position he was seeking, and excludes the other to the place he was feared to be thrown to.
وبعد عدة سنوات من العمل الدؤوب المتواصل، وبعد أن ارتقى إلى أعلى منصب إداري. ولم يكن هناك من هو أعلى منه، إلا رب العمل نفسه. جاءه قرار الفصل مباغتاً مباشراً وبدون مقدمات، ودون أن يعطى فرصة لإبداء الرأي، أو معرفة الأسباب. جاءه الإيقاف عن العمل من رب العمل ورئيسه المباشر، مما جعل أي محاولة للمراجعة أو الوساطة عقيمة لا فائدة ترجى منها.
After several years of continuous hard work, and after been promoted to the highest administrative positions, none was higher than him, but the employer himself. There he has received the statement of dismissal directly unexpected and without introductions, and without been giving the opportunity to express his opinion, or knowing the reasons. The suspension statement has come from the employer and his direct superior, that made any attempt of reviewing or mediation fruitless, and no benefit hopped from it.
كأنما هو الشيء إذا زاد عن حده انقلب إلى ضده! أو كلما طار طير وارتفع إلا كما طار وقع! أو هو الحسد ما أعدله بدأ بصاحبه فقتله! والله أعلم بعباده.

As when something exceeds its limit things turn against it! Or whenever a bird flays high a way it must comes down the same way! Or is it, how envy is just, it starts by killing its friend?! Allah better knows of his worshipers.
