The Narrative Of “He Who Kills The Morning Star”
Jamil Abu Sbaih
Translated by Nizar Sartawi
He who kills the Morning Star
Stands alone before the pack of pigs
in a narrow granite passageway
the trump of their hoofs advancing swiftly
as the granite walls grow and become narrower
Nothing remains but breaths bred by breaths
The morning star’s breaths are in their final agony of death
And the hard hooves are advancing swiftly
in a narrow granite passageway
