عدني أن أضع في متناول ايديكم مقالة باللغتين العربية والإنجليزية حيث أن النص العربي هو من إعداد إحدى الأخوات الكريمات وقد طلبت مني ترجمته إلى اللغة الإنجليزية لهميته حيث يدور موضوع المقالة حول الرسول عليه الصلاة والسلام وشهادات الغربيين عنه وعن رسالته. أرجو ان أكون قد وفقت في النقل الصحيح وإنني أرحب بأي ملاحظات وتعليقات حول الموضوع. والسلام عليكم ورحمة الله وبركاته
ما أصعب تلك اللحظات التى يهاجر فيها الإنسان من بلده إلى بلد آخر بعد ما تعرض إلى الإيذاء من حوله . فالانتقال يمثل عبئا نفسيا وماديا لصاحبه حيث يترك أرضه الأولى وما له فيها من ذكريات ومنافع ، إلى أرض آخرى جديدة لا يدرى ماذا يحدث له فيها .
قد يهاجر الإنسان بحثا عن العمل أو المال أو المعيشة الأفضل ، ولكن هذه المرة فإن الهجرة تختلف لأنها كانت من أعظم الأحداث التى غيرت تاريخ البشرية كلها ، إنها هجرة تحمل معان عميقة فى الوجدان والعقيدة ، إذ تفصل بين الحق والباطل ، لأنها هجرة إلى الله ، وهجرة من الشرك و الكفر إلى الإسلام ، ولذلك كله بدأ التاريخ الهجرى عند المسلمين انطلاقا من سنة الهجرة النبوية من مكة إلى المدينة المنورة ، ولأن أول النصر هو القوة النفسية ، فحينما قال سيدنا أبو بكر الصديق "لو نظر أحدهم تحت قدميه لرأنا" ، فقال له محمد رسول الله صلى الله عليه وسلم :
ولنر سويا لماذا كان رسول الله محمد يتحمل تلك الصعاب ولتكن الإجابة على لسان أحد العلماء الأوربيين الدكتور ماركس دودز عندما قام بمقارنة بين محمد وبوذا والمسيح فسأل : "أليس محمد نبيا على وجه من الوجوه ؟" ثم أجاب قائلا : " إنه على اليقين لصاحب فضيلتين من فضائل الأنبياء ، فقد عرف حقيقة عن الله لم يعرفها الناس من حوله ، وتمكنت من نفسه نزعة باطنية لا تقاوم لنشر تلك الحقيقة ، وإنه لخليق فى هذه الفضيلة أن يسامى أوفر الأنبياء شجاعة وبطولة بين بنى إسرائيل ، لأنه جازف بحياته فى سبيل الحق ، وصبر على الإيذاء يوما بعد يوم على مدار عدة سنين ، وقابل النفى والحرمان ، وفقد مودة الأصحاب بغير مبالاة ، فثابر بقوة وصابر على هذه الأمور الجلل ، ودأب مع هذا جميعه على بث رسالته غير قادر على إسكاته وعد ولا وعيد ولا إغراء ولا تهديد ... وربما اهتدى إلى التوحيد أناس آخرون بين عباد الأوثان ، إلا أن أحد أخر غير محمد لما يقم فى العالم مثلما أقام من إيمان بالوحدانية دائم مكين ، وما أتيح له ذلك إلا لمضاء عزمه أن يحمل الآخرين على الإيمان ، فإذا سأل سائل : ما الذى دفع محمد إلى إقناع غيره حيث رضى الموحدون بعبادة العزلة ؟ ... "فلا مناص لنا أن نسلم أنه هو العمق
والقوة فى إيمانه بصدق ما دعا إليه " .
نعم لقد تحمل كثيرا فلم يترك محمد رسول الله صلى الله عليه وسلم وسيلة لتبليغ رسالته إلى الناس إلا سلكها ، ولم يترك خصومه وسيلة لحمله على ترك دعوته إلا سلكوها ، ولكنه ثبت رغم كل إغراء وتهديد بالقتل والاغتيال ، وقال لعمه أبى طالب قولته المشهورة : "والله ياعم ! لو وضعوا الشمس فى يمينى والقمر فى يسارى على أن أترك هذا الأمر حتى يظهره الله أو أهلك دونه ما تركته" . ولما شج وجهه صلى الله عليه وسلم فى معركة ( أحد ) وكسرت رباعيته ( السن المجاور للناب ) قيل له لو دعوت عليهم ؟ ... فقال : "إنى لم أبعث لعانا ، ولكنى بعثت داعيا ورحمة ، اللهم اغفر لقومى فإنهم لا يعلمون" .
كما يقول إميل درمنغم مستشرق فرنسى ".. الحق أن النبى لم يعرف الراحة ولا السكون بعد أن أوحى إليه فى غار حراء . فقضى حياة يعجب الإنسان بها ، والحق أن عشرين سنة كفت لإعداد ما يقلب الدنيا ، فقد نبتت فى رمال الحجاز الجديبة حبة سوف تجدد ، عما قليل ، بلاد العرب وتمتد أغصانها إلى بلاد الهند والمحيط الأطلنطى . ولي لدينا ما نعرف به أن محمدا أبصر ، حين أفاض من جبل عرفات ، مستقبل أمته وانتشار دينه ، وأنه أحس ببصيرته أن العرب الذين ألف بينهم سيخرجون من جزيرتهم لفتح بلاد فارس والشام وأفريقية وإسبانية" .
لقد شهد العالم الكثير من العظماء ، ولكن كل منهم فى ناحية أو أثنين من نواحى الحياة فقط مثل المعتقدات الدينية أو القيادة العسكرية . ومع ذلك طمست تعاليمهم بمرور الزمن وتغير الحياة بما يؤثر فى الحكم على مدى نجاح أو فشل تلك التعاليم مما يجعل من المستحيل على البشرية أن تحيى تعاليم هؤلاء العظماء .
ولكن ذلك لا ينطبق باى حال على محمد (صلى الله عليه وسلم) حيث أكمل الكثير فى مجالات متعددة ومختلفة سلوكيا وفكريا بتألق ليس له مثيل فى تاريخ البشرية . فقد وثقت كل تفاصيل حياته الخاصة وأحاديثه العامة بدقة وحفظت بإخلاص حتى يومنا هذا . وإسناد تلك الأحاديث لم يحققه صحابته والتابعين المخلصين فقط بل أيضا ناقديه والمتحاملين عليه .
كان رسول الله محمد معلما دينيا ، ومصلحا اجتماعيا ، وقائدا أخلاقيا مثاليا ، وصديقا وفيا ، ورفيقا رائعا ، وزوجا مخلصا وأبا حنونا كل ذلك فى شخص واحد . على مر التاريخ لم يتفوق أحد عليه فى مثل هذه الصفات المجتمعة فى مجالات الحياة المختلفة كما ولم يرق أحد ليساويه فكان وحدة بشخصيته المعطاءة الذى وصل إلى هذا الحد من كمال الأخلاق .
ما كان محمد (صلى الله عليه وسلم) الا بشرا ، رجلا يحمل رسالة نبيلة لتوحيد البشرية لعبادة الله الواحد الأحد ويأخذ بيدها للطريق الحق للحياة فى طاعة الله . فقد كانت كل افعاله تؤكد على ما كان يصف نفسه به دائما "عبد الله ورسوله" .
ومن أجمل ما قال المستشرق لين بول : "إن محمدا كان يتصف بكثير من الصفات الحميدة كاللطف والشجاعة ومكارم الأخلاق ، حتى إن الإنسان لا يستطيع أن يحكم عليه دون أن يثار بما تتركه هذه الصفات فى نفسه من أثر ، ودون أن يكون هذه الحكم صادرا عن غير ميل أو هوى ، كيف لا وقد احتمل محمد عداء أهله وعشيرته أعواما ، فلم يهن له عزم ، ولا ضعفت له قوة ، وبلغ من نبله أنه لم يكن فى حياته البادئ بسحب يده من يد مصافحه ، حتى ولو كان المصافح طفلا ، وأنه لم يمر بجماعة يوما ، رجالا كانوا أو أطفالا دون أن يقرئهم السلام ، وعلى شفتيه ابتسامة حلوة ، وفيه نغمة جميلة كانت تكفى وحدها لتسخر ، وتجذب القلوب إلى صاحبها جذبا" .
ويقول الشاعر الفرنسى الشهير لامارتين : " أعظم حدث فى حياتى هو أننى درست حياة رسول الله محمد دراسة واعية ، وأدركت ما فيها من عظمة وخلود ، ومن ذا الذى يجرؤ على تشبيه رجل من رجال التاريخ بمحمد ؟! ومن هو الرجل الذى ظهر أعظم منه عند النظر إلى جميع المقاييس التى تقاس بها عظمة الإنسان؟! إن سلوكه عند النصر وطموحه الذى كان مكرسا لتبليغ الرسالة وصلواته الطويلة وحواره السماوى هذه كلها تدل على إيمان كامل مكنه فى إرساء أركان العقيدة . إن الرسول والخطيب والمشرع والفاتح ومصلح العقائد الأخرى الذى أسس عبادة غير قائمة على تقديس الصور هو محمد ، لقد هدم الرسول المعتقدات التى تتخذ واسطة بين الخالق والمخلوق " .
إن عظمة النبى (صلى الله عليه وسلم) تكمن فى أنه حامل رسالة سماوية تنويرية ، عنوانها لا إله إلا الله ، تهدف إلى إصلاح حياة البشرية عامة ، وتحريرها من عبادة الأوثان والشيطان .. ومن ثم نقلها إلى الحضارة المستنيرة . كان محمد رسول الله معلم تربوى فلم يكن خطابا دكتاتوريا ، إنما كان خطابه إلى الناس خطابا تربويا .. لم يكن يغلب عليه طابع الحاكم بقدر ما غلب عليه طابع المعلم ...
فيقول الفيلسوف الإنجليزى جورج برناردشو : " لم يسجل التاريخ أن رجلا واحدا ، سوى محمد ، كان صاحب رسالة وبانى أمة ، ومؤسس دولة ... هذه الثلاثة التى قام بها محمد ، كانت وحدة متلاحمة ، وكان الدين هو القوة التى توحدها على مدى التاريخ " .
أما مايكل هارت فيقول فى كتابه (المائة الأكثر تأثيرا فى التاريخ) : " كان محمد الرجل الوحيد فى التاريخ الذى نجح فى مهمته إلى أقصى حد ، سواء على المستوى الدينى أم على المستوى الزمنى " .
" من محمد رسول الإسلام إلى المقوقس عظيم القبط : سلام على من اتبع الهدى ، أما بعد فإنى أدعوك بدعوة الإسلام ، أسلم تسلم يؤتك الله أجرك مرتين { يا أهل الكتاب تعالوا إلى كلمة سواء بيننا وبينكم ألا نعبد إلا الله ، ولا نشرك به شيئا ولا يتخذ بعضنا بعضا أربابا من دون الله ، فإن تولوا فقولوا اشهدوا بأنا مسلمون } آل عمران:64
وتقول الرواية : إن المقوقس لما قرأ الكتاب سأل حامله (حاطب بن أبى بلتعة) : ما منع صاحبك إن كان نبيا أن يدعو على من أخرجوه من بلد فيسلط الله عليهم السوء ؟ فقال حاطب : وما منع عيسى أن يدعو على أولئك الذين تآمروا عليه ليقتلوه فيسلط الله عليهم ما يستحقون ؟ قال المقوقس : أنت حكيم جئت من عند حكيم " .
" من محمد رسول الإسلام إلى النجاشى ملك الحبشة : سلام عليك إنى أحمد الله إليك ، الله الذى لا إله إلا هو الملك القدوس السلام المؤمن المهيمن ، وأشهد أن عيسى بن مريم روح الله وكلمته ألقاها إلى مريم البتول الطيبة الحصينة ، فحملت بعيسى فخلقه الله من روحه كما خلق آدم بيده ، وغنى أدعوك وجنودك إلى الله عز وجل ، وقد بلغت ونصحت فاقبلوا نصحى ، والسلام على من اتبع الهدى " .
وأخيرا فلنجعل التاريخ هو فيصل التفرقة بين محمد وشائنيه ، لأن حكمه انفذ من حكم الشائنين والأصدقاء ، وأنفذ من حكم المشركين والموحدين ، وأنفذ من حكم المتدينين والملحدين ....
لأنه حكم الله .

As per human nature, emigrating or moving from homeland to another country is to be considered one of the most difficult moments especially if one has to do so after being exposed and subjected to persecution and harm from his own people. Emigration or moving in such a case represents a huge psychological and physical burden to the individual himself as he has to abandon and leave his homeland and his memories behind his back and moving towards the unknown.
There are various reasons why people emigrate to another place, some of which are looking for jobs, making money, or living a better life. But the case is completely different when we are talking about Prophet Mohammad’s (PBUH) emigration (Hijra) from Mecca To Medina as it was one of the greatest events that changed the history of mankind as a whole, it was an emigration that conveys deep meanings in the conscience and religion, it separates between right and false, it is an emigration to God, an emigration from polytheism and atheism to Islam. And because all of these meaning and others of course, Muslims have adopted their calendar (Hijri) to start from the year of the Prophet's emigration from Mecca to Medina. The meaning and the significance of "Hijra" is embodied in the Islamic calendar. Since its inception, the Islamic calendar represents a history of perpetual struggle between truth and falsehood, faith and blasphemy, freedom and oppression, light and darkness, and between peace and war. The first sign of winning victory is being psychologically strong and that was greatly demonstrated by the Prophet‘s (PBUH) answer when Abu Bakr (his companion in this journey said, “O Messenger of God, Were one of them to look down towards his feet, he would see us!” The Prophet replied, “What do you think of two people with whom God is the Third? " Do not be sad, for indeed God is with us.”
And together let us see why the Messenger of Allah, Mohammad has borne these difficulties and the answer will be from a European scientists Dr. Marcus Dods when comparing between Mohammed , Buddha and Christ, he asked: "Isn’t Mohammed a Prophet in one way or another?" Then he replied: "Certainly he had two of the most important characteristics (virtues) of the prophetic order. He saw truth about God which his fellowmen did not see, and he had an irresistible inward impulse to publicize this truth." Mohammad may stand in comparison with the most courageous of the heroic prophets of Israel. For the truth's sake he risked his life, he suffered daily persecution for years, and eventually banishment, the loss of property, of the goodwill of his fellow citizens, and of the confidence of his friends; he suffered, in short, as much as any man can suffer short of death, which he only escaped by flight, and yet he unflinchingly proclaimed his message. No bribe, threat or inducement, could silence him" Other men have been monotheists in the midst of idolaters, but no other man has founded a strong and enduring monotheistic religion. The distinction in his case was his resolution that other men should believe. If we ask what it was that made Mohammed proselytizing where other men had been content to cherish a solitary faith? "we must answer that it was nothing else than the depth and force of his own conviction of the truth."
Yes, Muhammad the Messenger of Allah peace be upon him had endured and suffered a great deal but with his perseverance, persistence and patience he pursued every way and every means to convey his message to the people, and at the same time his opponents had tried every way and means to force him to abandon and leave his call but he insisted strongly and assertively to move on with his call despite all temptations, death threats and assassination, and said to his uncle Abu Talib (His former guardian) his famous words ". ‘O my uncle,’ he said, ‘even if they set against me the sun on my right and the moon on my left, I will not abandon my purpose until God grants me success or until I die.’ Abu Talib answered with a sigh: ‘O my brother’s son, I will not forsake you ". And in the Battle of Uhod when his face (PBUH) was wounded and one of his teeth was broken, he was asked by his companions “Why don’t you call God to punish them?." He replied, “ I wasn’t sent as a curser or execrator instead I was sent as a herald or propagandist and mercy. O My God forgive my people as they don’t know”.
French Orientelist Emil Derminghem once said ".It is a fact that the Prophet did not know neither rest nor sleep after the divine revelation to him in the cave of Hira. He spent a life that was greatly admired by any one. Also the fact that twenty years were enough for the preparation of what turned the world upside down, it was a seed that has grown in the waste and barren Higaz sands ;, and Soon, the Arab country will revive and extend its branches to the country of India and the Atlantic Ocean. We have what we know that Muhammad saw, when he descended from Mount Arafat, the future of his nation, and the spread of his religion, and by his insight and sagacity he felt that the Arabs that he has united will go out of their peninsula to open (i.e spread Islam in) Persia, Levant, Africa and Spain. "
The world has witnessed a lot of great people, but all of them showed greatness in one or two aspects of life such as religious beliefs or military leadership. However, their teachings were obliterated over time and by the changing nature of life in such a way that affects our judgment on the extent of the success or failure of these teachings, making it impossible for people to revive or bring to life the teachings of those great people.
But that does not apply in any way to Prophet Muhammad (peace be upon him) as he has completed and accomplished so much in such diverse fields in terms of behavioral and intellectual aspects in such an effulgence that was unparallel in the human history. Every detail of his private life and public utterances and sayings were accurately documented and faithfully and honestly preserved to this day. The attribution and ascription of his sayings (Hadiths) was not only achieved and fulfilled by his faithful companions and followers, but also by his critics and prejudiced ones.
The Messenger of Allah, Mohammad was a religious teacher, a social reformer, an ideal moral leader, and a faithful friend, a wonderful companion, a devoted husband and loving father all in one person. Throughout history, no one beats him in any of these qualities combined in various walks of life. Also no one could rises to be equal to him as Prophet Mohammad (PBUH) was one unit in terms of his open-handed, generous and selfless personality, who has reached to this level of ethical and moral perfection.
Muhammad (peace be upon him), was not but a human being, a man with a noble mission to unite humanity on the worship of the Only and the One God and takes humanity to the right path of life in obedience to God. It was that all his actions confirm what he always described himself as "The Slave of Allah and his messenger."
One of the most remarkable comments was said by the Orientelist Lynn Poole: "Muhammad was characterized by much of the good qualities such as kindness, courage and good manners to such a degree that no one can judge him without being affected by these qualities and without this judgment being originating by the non- tendency or inclination. Undoubtedly Mohammad (PBUH) has endured hostility from his family and his clan for years, his determination not diminished, nor his power weakened. His nobility has reached an outstanding level that in his life he was not the first to withdraw his hand when shaking hands with other, even if it was a kid, and he did not, at any time, pass by a group of men or children without saluting them with peace, and with his sweet smile on his lips, and the tone was beautiful enough alone to harness and attract the hearts of others strongly to him".
Lamartine the French poet says:'' The remarkable incident in my whole life, is that I have studied the life of prophet Mohammed , and I realized its greatness and eternity , who dare to compare any man from history with prophet Mohammed ?!who is greater than him ,looking to all criterion measuring man's greatness?!! His behavior in the time of glory, his ambitions to spread the massage, his long lasting prayers, and his celestial interlocution all are evidence to a perfect faith that helped him to establish the basics of his message. The messenger , the preacher, the legislator, the conqueror ,the corrector of the believes, the one who established worshipping which did not depend on images ,is Mohammed .He has destroyed all believes that adopting mediator between the creator and his creation"
The greatness of the Prophet (peace be upon him) lies in the fact that he was a holder of an enlightening divine message, the title of which is that there is no god but Allah, a message that aims to reform the life of humanity in general, and liberate it from the worship of idols and the devil .. And then transfer it to the enlightened civilization. Muhammad the Messenger of Allah was an educational teacher; his speech did not address a dictatorship, but rather was a speech to educate people. He was not characterized by the nature of a ruler as much as by the nature of a true teacher.
English philosopher George Bernard Shaw says: "History has not recorded that one man, except Mohammed, who is a massage carrier, a nation establisher, a founder of a country…all these three things done by Mohammed, was a united unity, and religion was the power that maintains its unity over history"
Michael H. Hart in his recently published book (The 100: A Ranking of the Most Influential Persons in History) says:" Mohammed was the only man in history who was supremely successful on both the religious and secular levels"
And let me conclude this article with the letter sent by Muhammad the messenger of God (PBUH) to call people to Islam:
This letter is from Muhammad the slave of God and His Messenger to To Muqawqis, Vicegerent of Egypt
"In the name of God, the Beneficent, the Merciful. Peace be upon him who follows the right path. I am writing this invitation to call you to Islam. If you accept Islam, you will be safe - and God, the Sublime, shall double your reward. But if you refuse to do so, responsibility for the transgression of the entire nation shall be yours. Thus do I urge you to heed the following: “O People of the Scriptures? Come to a word common to you and us that we worship none but Allah and that we associate nothing in worship with Him, and that none of us shall take others as Lords beside Allah. Then if they turn away, say: Bear witness that we are Muslims" Al-Imran: 64
According to the narration of the story: When Muqawqis had read the letter, he asked the letter carrier (messenger) (Haatib bin Abi Balta'ah): What has prevented your companion if he was a prophet to call his God to bring suffering on those who expelled him from his own town? Haatib said: What has prevented Jesus to call God to punish those who conspired to kill him, so God brings on them whatever they deserve? Muqawqis said: You are a wise man who was sent by a wise."
Prophet Mohammad's Letter to the the Negus Al-Asham, king of Abyssinia.
"In the Name of Allah, the Most Merciful, Most Gracious, From Muhammad, the Messenger of Allah to the Negus Al-Asham, king of Abyssinia. Peace, I praise Allah to you, that Allah is the only God, the King, the Holy, the Peace, the Faithful, the Watcher, and I bear witness that Jesus, son of Mary, is the Spirit of Allah and His Word, Which He cast to Mary the virgin, the good, the pure, so that she conceived Jesus. Allah created him from His Spirit and His Breathing as He created Adam by His Hand and His Breathing. I call you to Allah, the Unique without partner, and to His obedience, and to follow me and believe in that which came to me, for I am the Messenger of Allah, for I invite you and your armies to Allah. I have accomplished my work and my admonition, so receive my advice. Peace upon all those that follow True Guidance."
At last, let's make history the decisive criterion to differentiate between Mohammad and his opponents who hated and insulted him because its judgment is stronger to be applied and lived up to than the judgment of his opponents and friends, of the polytheists and the monotheists, of the religious and the infidels,
Because it is the rule and Judgment of Allah
