What remains in life?

Poem written by

Iraq is the symbol of honour
.

Many years ago, I have claimed the victor
Nothing had I taste but only the bitter.
Your naked blossom appears as a shadowy olive tree.
I wish I got rest at thy shadow and drank a cup of tea.
Didn’t you tell me to look to the flying bird?
Didn’t you see the falcon and you were scared?
Then we sat over a hill watching the beautiful verdure.
Many times, we had chatted about our future.
Nothing remains but only the remembrances.
My heart sleeps and forgets its fragrances.
Each time I wash my face I see you as a mirror.
No dream remains but only the horror
A dried tree never becomes green.
Unless the heavy rain of March comes again.
Our days are as if a summery cloud.
It hasn't rain even it comes closely around.
Let the bygone go bygone and start a new life.
The mysterious occasion maybe ends on relief.

In relief = bad sense, on relief = happy moment.
